Abstract

This paper summarizes 20 year of experience by the authors with the ThermoPower library, an open-source Modelica library containing basic components for the dynamic modelling of thermal power generation processes, oriented to control studies. The structure and design principles of the library are reviewed, alongside several successful applications of it to various kinds of thermal power generation systems.
