Abstract

We propose a number of improvements for a previously presented method of selective wide-area damping control (WADC) using spectral decomposition of Lyapunov equation solutions. Namely, accounting for structural constraints, fuzzy selectivity, and compatibility with global optimization methods. We demonstrate that the improved method is capable of providing useful WADC strategies when the availability of measurement data is severely limited.
