Abstract

A receding horizon optimization scheme is proposed for the cooling system in electric vehicles. The considered cooling system has cascading configuration that all electric devices are connected by a single cooling circuit loop. The cost function is chosen to reject the cooling water mass flow rate under the constraint of corresponding device temperatures staying an allowable range. Finally, simulation example on an industrial-scaled simulator is demonstrated.
