Abstract

Fuel cell Commercial Vehicle is hybrid system with two energy sources: proton exchange membrane fuel cells and power batteries. Since the operation scenarios of fuel cell heavy trucks usually face the challenges of long operating distances and scarce hydrogen refueling stations, the optimization of the vehicle energy management strategy is very important. In this research, firstly the fuel cell Commercial Vehicle was modeled in detail, and all vehicle parameters were derived from real operating data. Then, three energy management strategies, rule-based strategy, ECMS strategy and dynamic programming strategy were used to complete the simulation of hydrogen consumption optimization based on the CHTC-TT driving cycle. Finally, in the conclusion, the three strategies were compared and analyzed.
