Abstract

Control education is vital for the cultivation of future researchers and engineers in control engineering. As an effective complements to conventional laboratories, online laboratories play a key role in control education. This paper discusses the two decades of design and application of the Networked Control System Laboratory (NCSLab), which is an online laboratory that provides remote and virtual experiments in control engineering. The evolutionary developments have been presented and current features from technical and application perspectives are outlined. The NCSLab platform will continue to provide 24/7 laboratory services to users throughout the world.
